Pabasara san is interested in the sex-determining genes in garden asparagus. She eperimentally confirmed that some genes that were previously thought to be male-specific are indeed male-specific. She is also interested in bioinformatic approach to identify genes involved in regulating the asparagus sex.

Kambara kun is interested in genes regulating pearl millet traits. He has been using RNA-Seq data and GWAS systems to promote the identification of such genes. He is interested in the panicle traits in particular, and has been using some new quantitative ways to assess them.
